There are many ways to make a difference at the Darby Community Library. Whether you give to the Library Fund, contribute to the Library endowment, volunteer your time, or donate books in good condition, your support helps keep the library strong and thriving for everyone.
Donate to the Darby Library
Donate to the Darby Library 501(c)(3) Fund:
These donations go directly to the library and are essential to keeping our services strong. Your support provides the immediate funding needed for building upgrades, program expansion, technology improvements, and all the things that make the library a vibrant community hub. It is through this fund that the library is able to offer the activities, updates, and services our community depends on.
Donate to the Darby Library Endowment:
Held at the Montana Community Foundation, this endowment is a permanent “forever fund” invested for long-term stability. As it grows, the library receives annual support from its earnings—providing lasting benefits for future generations.
Volunteer / Book Donations
Darby Community Public Library is a great place to volunteer, especially if you love books and people! Library volunteers primarily assist at the front desk, greeting patrons, checking out books, shelving books, and assisting the staff with other duties. Training will be provided prior to starting any volunteer work. Stop by the front desk to complete an application form. Library volunteer slots are 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. The Saturday shift is for 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. You can sign up on the on-line volunteer site for whatever shifts work for you! It can be weekly, monthly, or just when you’re in town! Contact staff to start the process.
